Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park Welcome to Kenya! Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our Asafina Safaris representative will warmly welcome you and escort you to your private 4x4 safari vehicle.
Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch and check-in at your luxury lodge overlooking the lake, head out for an exciting afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is renowned for its staggering flocks of pink flamingos, endangered rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and over 450 bird species.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve After a hearty breakfast, we depart for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5–6 hours drive). The journey offers breathtaking views of the Rift Valley escarpment.
Arrive in time for lunch at your luxury tented camp or lodge situated inside or bordering the reserve. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the vast golden savannahs of the Mara.
Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. Set off early for a morning game drive, return for breakfast, and later enjoy an afternoon drive or opt for a full-day safari with a packed bush picnic lunch.
This is your best chance to witness dramatic predator action, elephant herds, and – between July and October – the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings.
In the late afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience, learning about their rich heritage, dances, and way of life.
Optional Activity (Extra Cost): Sunrise hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne bush breakfast.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi Departure Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the camp. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a final short morning game drive before checking out.
We then drive back to Nairobi (approximately 5–6 hours) with scenic Rift Valley views along the way. You will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel in the afternoon, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
